Page Template 2 - Announcements Page

Announcements Page Template

When using the Announcements page template, there is always an editable region above the actual "posts" you create. This editable region is present all the time, on every page of announcement posts. Use the
button to make changes to this static portion of the page content.

To add a new post, click the  button. This will create a new "page" (that will be the post) that is connected (as a sub-page) to the parent Announcements page so that it appears in the list of announcement posts. As you post new announcements, the old posts get pushed down the page so that the newest post is always on the top, like a blog. Each page of announcement posts contains 10 posts.

This is the second post on this announcements page. Notice how this post pushed Post 1 down so that Post 2 (which is more recent) is presented to the audience first at the top. By doing it this way, the most relevant information is always the easiest to locate.

Each Announcement posted to an announcements page uses the Web Page template. While this can be changed to a one of the other page template types, doing so breaks the page's connection to the parent Announcement page and thus removes this from the list.

Each post can be formatted differently using the various Page Layouts to customize the content the specific post presents to the audience.
